This is my first visit and I'm impressed. I'm close to two Blue Ribbon Rivers, The Crowsnest and Elk Rivers in south wet Alberta and south east BC. I was lucky enough to fish 49 days last summer and had the best fishing I had for years.

My first time here, I belong to the Mohican Fly Fishers Club here in Ohio, I'm very impressed with your web site, have added it to my favorits, one of my favorite flies " bug " to tie is the wax worm, this worm has caught many of crappies and blue gills for the freezer.

Thanks for a great site! I am mainly a deer hair Bass Bug and Pike Fly tier searching info on Chirononmids for a friend. Bead Head Prince, Zug Bugs, etc. Can anyone suggest a good refernce book containing colour photos and tying instructions for these little guys. I have printed info from here to get me started, but would like something to add to my library of patterns. Any replys " ref book " would be most appreciated.

I am presently in the midst of researching fly patterns tied using ringneck pheasant (cock or hen) and would be interested in any unusual patterns featuring this material. I don't need more variations on the Pheasant Tail Nymph or the Carey Special or other common flies but fly patterns that are more unusual. Glad to see someone else does this for stealhead. I think catching stealhead on flies is the best and most exciting way to catch this fish. This is very rewarding when you tie your own fly and catch and release this fish. Hold on for the time of your life when you land this. I'm going to check your sight out now. I was looking for information on conneaut creek and if the fish are in there.

WOW!!!! What a great web site. My brother/brother-inlaw and I started fly fishing this year. My brother lives on the coast and i can't wait to visit him with some of these great patterns. I just brought my first fly vise and need some simple patterns. mostly because i cut two tendons in my goog hand. I'm teaching my other hand to come like my right. Fantastic "patternbank". Wouldn´t it be possible to sort the flies? Salmonflies/ Nymphs/ etc It´s a tuff job to look trough all the patterns. We are looking forward to a new salmonseason to start in about a month from now, here in Scandinavia. The pulse has already started to accelerate............

Great website. I've been tying for three years, so this is a big help. We fish for small mouth bass, trout, shad and anything else that comes our way, so we always look to adapt and use ideas for our local fish stocks, because not musch is covered by national magazines. Thanks, and we'll send our ideas out too.
