Hi Out There, I'm and old friend of Charlie Meck's. Used to know Barry Beck from Berwick from back in 1968. I had been out to Bucky Metz' many times back in the sixties and seventies. Heard he sold out to Umpaqua? Does anyone know what he used to cure his chicken necks with? I have a couple of roosters to kill. Thank You, Bill Haney, Jr. P.S. If anyone sees Meck, please tell him that I have M.S. bad now.

Enjoyed your site. Keep up the good work. I am presently in the midst of researching fly patterns tied using ringneck pheasant (cock or hen) and would be interested in any unusual patterns featuring this material. I don't need more variations on the Pheasant Tail Nymph or the Carey Special or other common flies but fly patterns that are more unusual. If you know of any and would like to send me the dressing, I'd be most appreciative. Thanks--and Happy Tying!

Glad to see someone else does this for stealhead. I think catching stealhead on flies is the best and most exciting way to catch this fish. This is very rewarding when you tie your own fly and catch and release this fish. Hold on for the time of your life when you land this. I'm going to check your sight out now. P.S I will try to not to inflict some of our less imaginative dressings on you, for example I dont know whether the dreaded "BLOB" has reached the States yet(This is not one to look forward to ).
